Using the Map Filter

The Map Filter allows you to filter the Asset Table based on the assets currently visible on the map.

Before You Begin

To use the Map Filter:

  • The Map View must be turned on

  • The Map Filter must be enabled

When the filter is enabled, the Asset Table automatically updates as you zoom or move the map, showing only assets within the visible map area.

This helps you quickly identify and work with assets in a specific geographic location.

If the map is hidden or toggled off, the Map Filter option is unavailable.

How to Use the Map Filter

  1. Open the Asset Table page

  2. Turn on the Map View

  3. Enable the Map Filter

  4. Zoom or pan the map to the area you want to investigate

  5. The Asset Table automatically updates to show only assets visible on the map

What Happens When the Filter Is Active

Filter Pill Appears

When the Map Filter is active:

  • A filter pill appears above the map

  • This indicates the Asset Table is currently filtered by the map view

Asset Table Updates Automatically

As you move or zoom the map:

  • Assets outside the visible map area are removed from the table

  • Assets inside the visible map area are displayed

This allows you to focus only on assets in the area currently shown on the map.

If you zoom out to display the entire map, the Map Filter automatically turns off. To continue filtering assets by map view, you re-enable the Map Filter manually.

Asset Count Changes Dynamically

The asset count below the map updates automatically when filters are applied.

The count reflects:

  • Only the assets currently displayed on the map

  • Not the total number of assets in the system

Tips

  • Combine the Map Filter with other filters to refine results further

  • Pan across the map to quickly investigate nearby locations
